    Auchmithie

Auchmithie harbour by R MAURINS, on Flickr
This is actually still a working harbour in summer, couple of small creel boats fish for crabs and lobsters, this is the harbour where a hundred years or so ago, the now world famous Arbroath Smokie process was invented and the Haddock were landed at this wee harbour.

I like the shot but I think it would be better if you could lift the shadows on the rocks so we can see the detail

Nice image, agree with tigger about getting some detail in the shot.

I was thinking something more along this line - I don't have the raw file so just using your Jpeg but with the Raw image you could do a lot better than mine

all takes time, although if I'm honest I did cheat and just used 2 presets :)

I guess you'd HDR something like this?

                  Re: Auchmithie

yep, I used a preset on a HDR program, if I had 3/5 raw shots it would have been a lot better - but TBH just off a single jpeg and hitting a preset it didn't do too bad

Ian's edit brought out the potential of the image.
