Nicely exposed, however they seem to be too tightly group together. It would be better if you could have isolated one or 2 of them in a frame

Experimenting with the 100-400 lens as I get a better depth right through the shot instead of the stuff at the back being out of focus, I could try and remove the handrail in photoshop .

the image looks like it could handle a crop so I would try that first

                Re: Local harbour

The handrails do rather intrude and overpower. Difficult to get rid off so wondering if a much wider view of the harbour would be better so the handrails would be smaller in the frame and would not intrude so much

I am quite surprised that you got front to back sharpness with that lens as one thing, other than the aperture which affects the dof is the focal length of the lens and usually the longer the focal length, the narrower the dof

If my wife's with me she pinches my only other ef lens, so the 100-400 is getting a lot more use just now Stan, surprising me some of the results I'm getting, more versatile than I originally thought.

Excuse for me to get something Stan, hence the question about Zeiss glass, will be selling her 10-18 efs and the 17-85 with the intermittent fault for spares or repairs.
