A "once a year" location, the agricultural show held on the Penrice Estate at Oxwich, Gower Peninsula, South Wales. This year on August 1st (usually the first Sunday in August).
Ace stuff for a townie like me - never realised root crops could be so big, sheep could be shampooed and polished or farmers could show such pride in their work.
Shampooing the sheep -
Watching their cattle being judged -
The prize winning meads in the produce tent -
The prize winning carriage driver, looking a bit proud and a bit smug -
The crowd by the display ring, watching some working horses to the left -
All 50D + 24-105L.
Have put another one as my entry in the "Weekend" thread in the Forum Challenge.
Oh, and the food was excellent - local and good.....
Cheers, Chris.
