trouble is to get wider than I already have, ie 10mm cropped = 16mm ff, I would need to get an expensive lens as well

yep, but with the camera being 2nd hand you can invest in a nice sexy 11-24 ...just think how much more of those churches you could get

sure 2nd hand price on the 5D, but new price on the 11-24 as I would need to replace it as its becoming my walkabout lens - I'll cover the shipping though as your a pal :)

Lovely images, of a beautifully simple, unspoiled and well maintained church. Interesting to see some of its history, it seems each of the three box pews were reserved for the three local tenant farms, the servants got the low bench and the Earl got the raised seats (of course - and he had probably paid for the privilege).

Interesting to see some of its history, it seems each of the three box pews were reserved for the three local tenant farms, the servants got the low bench and the Earl got the raised seats (of course - and he had probably paid for the privilege).

that adds to the interest Alex. We picked up a leaflet when we were there and it has various extract from the church registers including a baptism in 1629, a marriage in 1632 and a burial in 1629
