    Birmingham/Frankfurt Xmas Market

    Visited a week or so ago before the snow....

    The annual German Market in Birmingham. Whilst visiting to get my ill-fated shot for Forum Challenge 17 I enjoyed the colours on some of the stalls -

    Some vases -


    Some nice "leafy" lights -


    Some colourful stars -


    And whilst there couldn't resist a go at the Selfridges building -


    All hand-held, available light, 50D + 24-105L.

        Great set of pictures all with great colour.

        There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

          Rich, colourful and well seen, but the Selfridges building still has a lot going for it.

              Thanks for all the nice comments. All the shots were after sunset and just used the lights on the stalls. Musical accompaniment too - carol singing all round. Also called in to the magnificent Symphony Hall and got some nice shots of its interior - will post sometime.
              Ian - I see your address is Frankfurt - thank you for the loan of your Xmas Market - most enjoyable (particularly the gluwhein!!) and very, very popular.
