There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

Good shots! I am rubbish at fireworks and night shots. Love the colours. #5 is my particular favourite. I hope that you had an enjoyable evening.

Can you post some basic settings so this mere mortal can write it down and give it a go nearer bonfire night.

                    Re: Fireworks Blackpool

Ok First Muscat I think the Australians won this year.

Di I set my camera at its lowest iso which is 100
Manul focus, IS off as you need to use a tripod.
I use the smallest appeture around f22
                    Set shutter speed to Bulb.
                    Set lens to about 17-20mm

Because its usally dark I focus on an object about twenty feet in front of me with f22 you get a great depth of field.
When the first fireworks go of press and hold down your shutter release for the count of two seconds check your image, carry on taking pictures at longer exposures mine go up to 7 seconds
after a while you will get to fill the frame with muliple images.

I use photoshop CS5 to process the final image..pick pleasing images with lots of firework burst, crop and up the saturation till the colours look good.
                    Hope that helps

P.S..all my images are 1 image no multi images
