    #1 - 1/100, f/5.6, iso 100 Aperture priority

    #2 - 1/100, f/5.6, iso 200 Aperture priority

    #3 - 1/100, f/5.6, iso 125 Aperture priority

    #4 - 1/100, f/5.6, iso 160 Aperture priority

    #5 - 1/250, f/5.6, iso 100 Aperture priority

If you have any doubt's about the capabilities of this piece of glass - DON'T - it really is superb

These are fabulous images David. All worthy of standing on there own. However, my favorite one is the second image.

David I must agree with Tom, all good but for me #2 is the winner

At places like Wisley to avoid background distractions this is the way to go - in close with a macro lens -and what an excellent job you have made of them - I really like the abstract feel of the second one

See them now. Number two for me aswell, though I do like the clashing colours of number one.

Had me worried there Di, #1 is a bit of a nemesis for me, I can take a dozen shots of the same flower and get a dozen different photo's, some come out blue instead of purple, some blow out completely and others just lose all definition - it really is a nightmare for me

              Thanks again guys

Fantastic shots, the first is my favourite.
Sorry I've not been around much. Sadly the ankle surgery and carpal tunnel surgery have both been unsuccessful, so have to wait and see what happens next. I hope to be shooting a lot more in the future!

David - sorry - I thought I had already commented on this set, but it appears I haven't - I must be getting old!

Great set, #2 especially is just superb! Quite abstract, brilliant colour, sharp... but does that little piece of spider silk on the right annoy you? If that were cloned out, I'd have that shot on the wall!

All these are great though, and after enjoying my few days out recently shooting flowers etc. I can see a macro lens going on to my Christmas list!

                  Well done, excellent set.

                  All the best, Mike.

                    Re: Few from RHS Wisley

Thanks - Mike, not sure if it will pick up the 'de-webbed' version yet so just in case . . . . this better (and yes it annoyed me - especially when I forgot to go back and sort it)

                    .DAVID.

As for a macro lens - yes the 100mm 2.8 is a fantastic lens but as I have said before - look at the Tamron 90mm, a fraction of the price and outstanding hand held results, check out Cory's gallery from the same day HERE and yes I know - she is still better than me - I am working on that though ;)
