    Ladybird Metamorphosis

    When we are out shooting we are always on the lookout for the unusual and these shots fall into that category. Spotted yesterday on the BWC nature reserve, this is a ladybird nymph about ot become a ladybird. He/she is feeding on a fly and in the first shot you can see the ladybird emerging from the rear end. Then all of a sudden eh did a "handstand" - no idea why but remained like that until we left him alone

    Both these shots are from Dee - I have similar but she got the better point of view
