    Comma Butterfly

One from my garden foray today. (lol).

Not so pretty on the outside, but very colourful on the wing tops. Unfortunately, despite my patience, and asking him nicely, he wasn't prepared to open his wing for me.

              Thanks Andrew.

I'm fortunate to live in a rural village, with a garden that backs onto open farmland.

Well done Dave, you have also captured the "comma" which gives them their name

Thanks for that Stan, as Andrew said, "you learn something new everyday". I have come to learn from your own postings, that you certainly know your Bugs and birds.

I had to look him up in a book to identify him.
