Robbers Making Out

[Stan]

as we were walking along the access to the Arne nature reserve yesterday, spotted these two robber flies in the road. Having first tried to capture them with the 300 f4/1.4x combo, I decided it would be better to use the macro, close and down at their level. Of course it meant laying down in the road, with Dee watching out for the traffic - not a busy road but were interrupted by half a dozen cars. Eventually got this shot
