    Bee in flight

I was experimenting at trying to capture a bee in flight, finally got one that is sharp but wingless. This shot was taken at 1/500 with an apature of f10 and ISO 200. If you look you can just see the outline blur of the wings close to the bee as a golden haze.

I know I have to up the speed a lot to try and get some wing shape but any idea how much?

    Re: Bee in flight

I've previously seen recommendations of 1/800 ~ 1/1000 for motion blur and around 1/3200 to completely stop wing movement ...... or alternatively a large flyswatter and you could probably get away with 1/125
