    Vine Weevil Grubs

In my earlier thread on Vine Weevil I mentioned the grubs. In terms of damage to plants it is the grubs which do more damage as they feed on the plant roots. The adults just have a nibble at the edges of plant leaves, leaving a sort of castellated nibble to the edges.
So on to the Vine Weevil grubs. One dead Heuchera cause of death, twenty grubs plus another grub of some sort which I have chopped of the RHS edge of the frame, it went the same way as the others .

#1 Many mouths from one plant pot

    ISO200, f4, 1/125 sec.

#2 One posing for the camera

    ISO 2500, f16, 1/125 sec.
