Robber Fly Feeding - head on

shot last week at Arne, both Dee and I got a lot of side on shots of him feeding but as he was so engrossed with his meal I thought I would try and get a head on shot. I know the colour of the rope does not help but the imposrtant aspect is that the fly head and his prey are sharp and detailed

    Shot with Canon 100 f2.8 L IS

Excellent macro work Stan. Shame you can't desaturate the rope a bit.

you would think a nature reserve would use a neutral coloured rope - although the rose used right next to it is ordinary coloured - assume they didn't have enough. I did try to desaturate but just looked odd so better to leave it as it was
