It is tricky to photograph metallic surfaces. What caught my attention about the new "3d bit" pound was that there was some funny looking beading around the edge. Took a couple of shots and on close-up the "beading" is actually printed writing. On the front is "ONE POUND" and on the flipside "2016".

I've only had one so far; it's surprising that they are taking so long to distribute ???
You'll also find that the 'bars' below the Queen's neck contains a hologram of '1' and '£'. You need to turn it about 45 degrees each way to see it...Cheers;
