I think this bee chose the Alliums to show off his orange backside to advantage! The Alliums attract lots of bees

His abdomen is a bit dark - wonder if the is any detail to be brought out with shadows/highlights adjustment

You know, I don't think that I'll ever stop been amazed at how fluffy bees are close up. He certainly has a orange bum.

Thanks for the i.d, oc, my camera is making me realise how many different types of bees there are - Bombus sounds wonderfull as so often Latin names do!
Might post some more Bombus imagesx for identification!!
