Looks pretty good to me. Something I still have to try.

That is excellent - what was the front to back distance you had to cover?

Thanks guys. The distance was roughly 3 inches and 20 shots stacked in PS.

I like the abstract feel. And, I'm impressed hat you were able to get anything acceptable out of PS. ;-) I tried using it for a while when I was playing with stacking, but the results I got were never as good as the other software I was using.

That’s a good pic, I think that the stacking has worked well for you.

I tried PS, but it was REALLY bad - might have been able to create 1 or 2 (out of 100's) that were good enough. I then tried Helicon and it was better, but still not good enough to give me the results I wanted. Too much time was required to fix anomalies and bring back areas of an image that were sharp in at least one photo in the stack. The software refused to pick the sharp area which meant that manual work was needed. That amounted to literally hours of effort to repair a single stack. I didn't have time to fiddle with things like that - especially when I felt the software should have been able to see where an image was sharp.

so are you saying you have moved on from helicon? If so, what are you using now? I agree that ps is very hit and miss.

Yeah, that's the thing. I gave up on it completely. I just don't focus stack any more.
