              Ian - they are sitting on the top of the UV torch, so the light shines up through them.

                Thanks for that John, I had a suspicion that it was UV light. I also have a UV torch and have found that some types of glass glow green under UV light. Your pic gives me food for thought.

                  You are welcome Ian - do remember though that if the glass glows green under UV it is (at least mildly) radioactive - don't go grinding bits off and breathing the dust!
