    Strip Tease.

    Sorry for the flood of macros, I've been playing with my new lens.



    Camera Canon EOS 500D
    Exposure 0.02 sec (1/50)
    Aperture f/2.8
    Focal Length 50 mm
    ISO Speed 800
    Exposure Bias 0 EV
    Flash On, Fired

      Lovely concept and well worth playing with some more.

      I think the DOF needs to be increased, try using f8 so that you get the foil in front of the OXO cubes in focus and the leading edge of the first cube. As it is I feel that the only part of the image that is in sharp focus is the bit of foil just in front of the cubes.

            Oh its the lens! from your previous post I thought you had bought a new Garlic thingy-ma-bob! :)

            Seriously, thanks for sharing this Di. I am looking for a macro lens and this looks really nice.

                    and to prove that I do read and try to take some things in.. I've had another go today... with an incease in F number.

                    I also played with using the Kenko extension tubes with the macro lens as well.. so wait for it ...more photos on the way.

                    This time I lit everything with a halogen desk lamp - used my tripod (usually do everything hand held) and my used my remote release and the view screen. Flat batteries however stopped play.

                        and even a HDR - Not a true HDR - Gnu has a script which takes the same photo processes it three times and then merges it.

                            The "on black card" image could have been improved by reflecting some light back into the shadows with a white card.
