    Barbary Macaque

This is one of the many shots I took at the monkey walk at Trentham Gardens.
I am posting it because its my first ever attepmt at post processing... using Photoshop CS5. I could point out a million bits of processing I would like to improve but simply dont have the knowhow! Let me know what you think!

    Canon 350d
    90-300mm @ 300
    1/400s
    f/7.1
    ISO 1600

    This is the photoshopped version

    This is the original

I acutally like the side on view, it looks like he's concentrating somewhere off in the distance. But, this could just be me and my uncalibrated screen - but your colour seems too strong especially the green. just mho.

:) I guess its my screen! I have posted 5-6 images and overstauration is a common comment!

Thanks for viewing! I have another with his/her head looking over my left shoulder but I can't get it to look right!

You can always use Canon's Dpp for adding sharpness, contrast and so on.it's easier and a little less harsh than photoshop.

Your image done with Canons own software Dpp (should come with camera)

Just sharpened, brightness reduced, plus a little contrast added nothing more, See what you think.
