Mountain Gorilla

I recently got back from a trip to see the mountain gorillas in Rwanda followed by a safari in Kenya. The gorillas were an unforgetable experience and well worth the effort in trekking up the volcanoe to see them.



We were a bit confined for space and unable to move around to get different POV due to the terrain and the vegatation so had to 'make do' with shooting whatever was available. I managed to get some good shots and really enjoyed the time spent with these great creatures

Stunning image of a magnificent beast. I would definitely not be "walking around" looking for a better POV, first I would make sure I could run faster than the person next to me and 2nd just enjoy the magnificence of the Silverback.

Nice composition of a magnificent beast, can I mention that I find the gorilla a little dark against the light back ground, and the ferns around his head a distraction. But hey I'm nit picking, and probably jealous of your opportunity lol Just my tuppence worth.

Thanks for commenting. The shot has not been processed at all except of a bit of sharpening and reducing for the web. It will be worked onwhen I have sorted through the many many other shots taken on the trip

The posted shot is my image and one that I processed. John very kindly pm'd me an edit he did of my posted image that showed me where I could improve the image and i'm grateful for him in taking the time to do it.

I don't have problems with anybody making suggestions on how to improve my processing as I'm a novice at CS5
