Thought I would share this one. Taken on my EOS 5D2 with EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS lens set at 285mm (did not want to get too close as his parents were very near by) f5.6 1/400th at ISO 3200. It was a cloudy overcast day with poor lighting thus the high ISO used, so was pleased and pleasantly surprised with the result, though a little soft and still with a little noise but I liked the wonderful natural playfulness of the subject matter.

Location was on a road side pull-in high on a mountain road in the tropical jungles of Khao Yai National Park, central Thailand. Yes I know I inadvertently lost part of his left foot, my bad

Beautiful colour. Agree its a pity about cropping his foot.

Live and learn..great image. when you look thru the view finder, look at the sides - hope thats not too harsh

No not harsh at all but solid sensible advice that we sometimes need reminding of, so I always welcome honest critique as without it we never get better. In my defence though, I did take this one in quite a hurry and with one eye carefully watching what the way too close-by parent adult monkeys were up to !!!
