    Geparden

Another shot from Cologne Zoo, this time a Cheetah, german name Geparden:

    IMG_2067 by andymulhearn, on Flickr

This was shot from no more than 3m though a strategically placed gap in the heavy glass window between the Cheetah and it's prey using my usual combo of a 600D, 70-200 and 1.4x. Although I could have done without the 1.4x I could probably have missed the shot.
EOS 7D mk II, Sigma 150-660C, Canon 17-85 EF-S, Tamron 10-24 and a wife who shares my obsession.

Thanks chaps. It may be the first time people had walked past their part of the zoo so there was newness to see for the day and the pair wandered over.

          It's definitely a thousand yard stare isn't :-)

Liking this one a lot, you did really well to time the stare perfectly

Here she is, I suspect it's the female, on the way over to check out the fresh meat...
