    Otter on Islay

Taken on a recent trip to Islay over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend , The weather wasn't the best and it was a fair way out in the bay but it was great to stand and watch it for an hour after a lovely lunch at Ardbeg Distillery .

When i looked at the first I thought what a funny looking otter and then i spotted him on the edge of the frame - I have never seen a wild one at any distance so these will serve as a record of your sighting

Thanks for the comments ! I didn't spot him/her at first , it was actually sitting on the rocks with the seals , this has been good place for us spotting otters . The first time i didn't have a camera (typically) and the otter came out of the water with a fish and sat down 20yds in front of us and ate it !

Great shots, these are not the easiest of animals to capture, especially at distance.
