Im only guessing here, but a flash was fired at some point, cos. it looks like you nearly fried the poor thing. Assuming you were reasonably near, it doest do any harm to turn the flash down a tad-you can always crank it up incrementally to get the correct exposure. If hes a regular visitor, put some more nuts out and try again -

Yes, agree it is overcooked and really too tight in the frame and a bit of a strange angle. They are common little blighters so plenty of opportunity to try again
