Originally shot against a high key background and posted earlier, thought i would edit some with a black background

I think the dark background improves the detail, good skills in PS

This one is quite easy as the background to replace was a uniform colour, ie white, so it was just a matter of opening a duplicate layer followed by a new blank layer. Fill that with black and put it between the original and duplicate layers. With the duplicate layer selected use the magic wand tool to select all the background (should do it in one hit as it is all white). Go to select, modify and expand, enter a valeu of 2 pixels and hit return, then hit "delete" on the keyboard and the black from the blank layer will replace the white
