    Nice one Stan

I remember watching a television program which featured a family of stoats at a local National Trust venue.

            Thanks for looking guys

These are never an easy shot as there are so many different places in the enlosure from which he could pop up, it is usually a matter of luck cpombined with a quick reaction that gets the shot

Cracking picture Stan even more so at 800ISO I always seem to get noise after 400.

I think it would be hard to get the whole thing in focus and it's good to see it when it is. Mark of a pro :)

You're having me swing towards this lens combo now. close focussing doing my head in of late :)

800 isnt really a problem provided you get the exposure more or less spot on in camera. The red squirrel shots just posted are also at 800 but the middle one is 1600

the 400 would be no good in there apart from the lack of close focus the enclosure is quite small - this shot was with my 70-200 f2.8, which, similar to the 300f4, has a minimum focus distance of 1.5 metres
