    Harvest Mouse

More from the British wildlife Centre. These shots can only be taken either on a photo day or the members evening - they are not accessible on a normal public day. Even so with loads of people crowding round the mice it is a nightmare trying to get anything approaching a decent background. We took over 300 shots between us to get just a handful of keepers. Shot either with 70-200 f 2.8 or 70-200 f4 at shutter between 1/160 and 1/400

Last one looks like its been trained to pose

Seriously though nice images like first and last best. Limited depth of field means nose just a bit soft in second.

due to the light all the shots were at f 5.6 whereas normally I would look for around f8. With the second shot though f5.6 has given a good dof - the corn in front is sharp as well as the mouse but it looks like he is leaning so far forward that the nose is just beyonf the dof - f8 might have got it too

Yep see what you mean, the ear of corn does indeed look sharp.

Cracking shots Stan. The 2nd one actually made me chuckle, it was the sly sideways look that did it :-)
