    Common Lizard

The sunshine yesterday morning at Barnes saw a few common lizards basking on the bridges. Shot with 100 f2.8 macro, this is almost full frame

its certainly the best i have got this year at Barnes. It was shot at near to the minimum focussing distance of the lens and as there always seem to be bits of grass in the way you do need to get really close. Provided you are quiet and dont let your shadow fall over them they are usually OK. I think with this one i even managed to move lots of bits of grass out of the way without distrubing him
