Wouldn't like to say and I'd only be guessing. Both are pretty good anyway.

                    Re: Brown Rats..which lens?

Having see Jeff's images I had my interest raised, these raise it more, comparing well to the 70 - 200, as you know Stan, my main interest is Aeroplanes, how do you think the lens will work, pointing to the sky permanently, I don't use IS with the Jet shots because of the High Speeds but do use it for shooting BBMF, usually at 1/320th. So I guess what I am saying is would you recommend, any comments too Jeff?

                    Regards Paul

I don't think the lens would have any problem coping with either fast jets or slow props, but the problem might be the weight of the camera and lens at over 3.5kg. I had no problem handholding the lens but it might get tiring pointing at the sky for long periods and if my limited experience of aircraft is anything to go by, most of the time you don't need quite as much reach. We plan to do a couple of airshows again this year and for those I think I will be sticking just with my 70-200 with either the 1.4 or 2x converters
