A Few more from The Wildlife Gardens

The images where not easy to get due to wire fencing so I apologise now for these items in the images but I do like tigers.

    Hi Sue
Agree with your come at about the fence - I guess if you look as good as a Tiger you don't need to cooperate and pose.
You have done well to take clean images with no mesh between you and theTiger
I like The first image the best and wonder if there is a very close up crop shot of just his face available to you
    Cheers

Like the close cropped one Sue, works well. As you say a shame about the fencing in the others.

The close crop is definitely the winner but then the others aint too shabby either Sue

The cropped image is much better.

Re: A Few more from The Wildlife Gardens

Sue you've captured the tiger very well in both images, looking at how close it is to the fence I doubt you could've managed the DOF to lose/ lessen the impact of the fence on the image.
It may be worth trying to clone out the fence in the first image. The crop works well [emoji106]

Thanks to everyone for their comments about the crop, needless to say it is cropped heavily & the file is only 758 KB so I'm not sure if it would print very well, can anyone one tell me?

Sue, can't help with your question about printing (tho I guess it depends how big the print was), but the crop is indeed a gorgeous image, lovely eye contact.

Re: A Few more from The Wildlife Gardens

Always a problem with big cats and fences at zoos. Either look for an angle that excludes the fences or frame in close just to concentrate on the head. If you can do neither, then I would forget the shot. The Tigers at our local zoo are just the same and when active, patrol along by the fence but if you are lucky, on a hot day they may rest in the middle of the enclosure - then of course they are usually asleep
