    UK Wolf Conservation Trust

I know that a few of the members have been to this place in the past but it was a first for me yesterday, it rained, then it rained a bit more and for a few minutes the sun came out, then it rained again. Not the best day to take photographs but a real treat to see these lovely animals close up.

Both images taken with my 5D3 and 70-300L lens, the first shot at 800ISO and the second at 400ISO

Looking at the mono image after the upload it looks a little blown out which it is not, I am guessing it is the upload to Flickr and then EOS that has degraded the quality.

I second Tigger, that first shot is a cracker. The second is nice but the first is very good

Both great images, but the first is really bold and striking.

                Re: UK Wolf Conservation Trust

I prefer to see wildlife in their natural colour rather than converted to mono but in this case it works quite well. were they taken with the wolves in the enclosure or did you have the opportunity to shoot them in the fields on a "wolf walk"

we did the photo day last year and the highlight was being with them on the walk although images needed the heavy chain leads cloning out

Love that first one. A friend of mine has a pack that she offers photography sessions with. They also often pop up in television and film. Watermill wolves if you are interested.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Stan the shots were all in their enclosures, we didn't take up the option of the walk.

yep that is what they were eating

I would have loved to go on the walk but went along with a group from the camera club and the majority didn't want to do the walk. Fabulous animals though

The walk was awesome, Cory got to get up close and personal to two of them at the same time (her birthday treat) we really must go back again soon.

Think I prefer #2 just because it's in colour BUT - I can see the beauty in the mono one.
