    Giraffe

    This is a Reticulated Giraffe , one of three sub-species found in Kenya the other two being the Masai and the Rothschilds, this one was shot in Samburu

          Nice to see one in its natural surroundings. Waste of time shooting them in zoos as there is always some sign of captivity

                Thanks Bill , yes its quite common to see Giraffe and Buffalo particularly without their oxpecker friends giving them a clean up

                  This is the Masai Giraffe with a much more sporadic open pattern to the coat than the Reticulated. This one was shot in the Mara North Conservancy in the Masai Mara , and the second one a baby in the same location
