The image l posted first, had the ponies arranged with the two in the background deliberately OOF, in order to give the image some depth, here is another image showing just the two young fouls.

This one is better. I see where you were coming from with the other shot but as well as being oof they were turned away with heads down

A nice moment very well captured. It could just do with a bit more light around the pony's head and also a catch light in the eye.
