    Do Not Touch

Visited Donna Nook last week and cannot get over the sight & sounds of so many seals on the beach there. Rather than a cute seal I tried to put a seal in context with the fact Donna Nook is an RAF site for target practice. Not sure if it works.

    Re: Do Not Touch

I like shots that are a bit different. Think I would crop up from the bottom to get rid of the red reflection, so that the reflected sign, mirrors the sign as seen.

It's exactly what I was suggesting Sue but only you know if it's better, it's your photograph not mine.

Nice. The second one is an improvement over the first, not least because I can read the sign better (it could just be my eyes of course!)

                Re: Do Not Touch

Ta for comments, I just thought it was amusing with the seal fast asleep below the sign. Even if RAF are practising on the range the seals don't appear to be bothered by the aircraft & noise

                      Re: Do Not Touch

Nice idea, Sue. For me it is slightly caught between two stools. As it is, because of the framing and the shape of the creek, at first glance I thought it was just an image of the sign and its reflection. Only on returning to the thread and properly reading your text did I notice the seal, which is what adds the context. So, although the reflection is lovely, I think the strongest image is to crop right up and just have the seal and sign. Also, by being closer in, the missing top of the sign becomes more acceptable. Hope that is ok.

I don't mind at all, it is helpful having the comments made so hopefully I can improve.

I will have ago at cropping it again.

nice one, I saw similar some years ago in the Falklands where penguins were standing in the middle of a mine field, "danger mine field" but alas no camera. Well spotted.
