    Red Deer - Stag

Here is an image of a Red Deer Stag which I originally posted on my flickr account but in this image I have edited it to have more space to the bottom, right and top (not enough to add more on the left).

    I also had to

    a) clone out the back end of a hind on the right hand side
    b) clone out the bough of a tree which cut across the right hand top corner
    c) removed a bright area of green by cloning and darkening down which was showing between the two centre trees

Please let me have you thoughts, especially as I am a complete novice with photoshop!

"especially as I am a complete novice with photoshop!"

Having looked at the image above I would dispute the above statement

I think you have done a great job and have a very good picture of the stag

The "Badge" of somebody who is competent with Photoshop is:
        • They only do what they need to ................ not what they can!
        • There is no evidence in the shot that they have done anything at all.

I think you pass on both counts.

Somehow I cannot quite believe this statement.... the last major "porky teller" nose grew by the minute.... so I guess yours must by now be massive....

Great shot and very well "worked"

Ask Glenn, just how novice I am!!!Good job he is patient with me.

That said tho, I did spend a few hours getting this image as good as possible. I like to do as little post processing as I can otherwise I could spend hours trying to correct something, when a little more time spent at the composition stage would have sufficed.

thanks everyone for your feedback, it is much appreciated.
