White Fallow Deer

Apologies for the photo as it was taken in near darkness at 40000 ISO and the animals were three fields away but I was thrilled to see my first wild white Fallow deer Doe in among a small herd. I have seen one before in a captive herd at a National Trust site but never in the wild.

I have only seen one & of course never had my camera with me. Apparently they are fairly common in the forest around Dunkeld in Perthshire & normally one every couple of years is found as roadkill on the A9 in that area. If that had been me taking that shot it would not have turned out anywhere near as good as that. 1/ I would be shaking & 2/ 40,000 ISO, incredible. Well done Steve.

Nice record shot Steve, we get them down this way now and again, saw one last year on the Haldon Hills but like you at a distance
