    Hare at Rest

    Hi All,

After a few days away and trying my hand at Deer and Kingfishers I checked out my current favourite Hare field.

I managed to get very close to this one, between 5 and 6m I think, first shot is full frame

Pity about the grass in front of the eye

                    Thanks Trev,

I wonder if they recognise the Car, they have seen it often enough! pretty sure they are used to slow moving farm equipment, so I drive into the field as slow as I can make the Car go, some run away then stop, some just stay and watch as I drive closer. Had one this afternoon, I saw it as soon as I drove into the field, I drove to about 20m and stopped and watched for over an hour, he didn't do much!!

                    Regards Paul

Nice, natural shot. The grass adds to the value of the subject- hare at rest!

I do this with deer, drive up on the Quad Bike, they take no notice at all - the minute I get off the bike they are gone
