    Harvest Mice and Berries

We had quite a few different perches for them and this is one we brought ourselves, which in the absence of snow will probably be our christmas card this year

If you can't have snow, that's the next best thing.

The nose on the right-hand meece looks a little soft on my screen, but otherwise a very pleasant image. Happy Xmas

macro lens = shallow dof so always going to be difficult to get both pin sharp

                  Re: Harvest Mice and Berries

Hi Stan, Great capture. I did the Harvest Mice a couple of days before your trip. I didn't have such good light and had to resort to using a bit of flash. Was a bit of a learning curve for me which was good. Will go again. Also didn't realise you can take you're own props, within reason.
Love the natural light on your capture. Well done.
                  Glenn

                    Hi Glenn

Thanks for looking. Dean mentioned you had been there a couple of days before and I have been meaning to send you an e mail.

We were very lucky with the light although we had to move the set up out from the gazebo to get an evenly lit background. We did the harvest mice and also the reflection pool earlier in the year and plan to do both again after Christmas

Dean has a good variety of props but he has no problem in using your own. The one in this shot was brought by us
