Had a total right knee replacement - finding it difficult to be confined and not up to my usual activities, I’m not a ‘sit about’ sort of person. I don’t know who will go mad first the wife or me

Keep at the exercises for the knee - they may be painful now, but not doing them will be a problem in the future, so regard them as an investment.

Well done Trev.

I can imagine the confinement is difficult, I am hoping to get my knees done as well, have a Consultant appointment next month, something needs to happen as the pain is getting me down so much, just started today on morphine patches.

How long before you can drive?

It’s driving me up the wall, can’t or should not drive for six weeks. Hoping this week the wife will abandon me — and leave me at a local hide on the estuary for a hour or so. You must be in a fair bit of pain to be on morphine patches. Are you having it done NHS or Private. Had mine done private, was not prepared to wait two and a half years for the NSH. Was in a certain amount of discomfort but it was getting worse. All down to my life in the services and no end of walking over the years since.
Now working out some sort of lighting so I can get the badgers in the garden.
