    Stag Do

With all the great wildlife pictures being posted here I have been itching to get out and capture some myself. Recently spent some time over in the east and drove up Strathconon hoping for some Red Deer. It was a bit of a murky day and with the odd torrential downpour it didn't promise much by way of enough light to avoid noise on the 7D2. Spotted a few stags and put the 100-400 F4.5-5.6L on and the light got a bit brighter, hooray.

This one at 1/1000 sec F5.6 ISO 1000 only processing done in Lightroom was lens profile, a small amount of clarity and a bit of sharpening and crop to about 40%

This one at 1/800 sec at F10 ISO 4000 processing as above plus a bit of noise reduction.

Wow a couple of great shots Martin, got fairly close, but they were aware of you, They must have just thought “it’s only the guy from Skye he is alright”.

Two super shots, love them both.
I can see the pics framed as wall hangings.
