    Urban Kestrel

Had the opportunity to spend the afternoon in an office block hanging out the toilet window shooting this pair...just shows what bringing a 'take away' home to the missus can lead to...

The male came in with this vole...

entered the nest hole and gave it to the female...who promptly brought it back outside to eat it on top of the security light...

Having fed on the 'gift' she then decided her 'headache' was not too bad and the rest as they say...

comments (clean one only please) welcome.

What a great set, to take a kestrel with it's prey in it's mouth is one thing but also to take kestrels doing a balancing act is another.
        Lucky You indeed, well done.

You saw the opportunity and took advantage of it. Hmmm .............. so did the male Kestrel.

                        Rofpmsl! Nice one...

Many thanks all for your comments...it was worth the effort...despite the SMELL in those loos! They are back again and nesting this year but until the insurance sorts me out and I can replace the big lens they are sadly out of reach...

Can you not hang out of the loo window again? Are they raising young in the same place. Great shots by the way.
