    Collared Dove

    Spotted this feller on the garage roof earlier. A common bird I know but a handsome chap non the least.

    I know the crop should normally give the subject something to look into but in this case the something was a piece of the garage sticking up and better out of the way, also liked the bokeh in the background.

    60D, 1/200 @f/4, ISO 100, 70-200 F4 L non is @ 200mm.

    Thats a cracker mate..really sharp. Actually I really like the corrugated bit against the smooth feathers - good image

      Lovely detail in this pictures, it may be a common bird but they are fun to watch

        Another great shot (as well as the House Sparrow thread)!

        I quite like seeing the birds in their natural surroundings, and in this case the corrugated roof is where you generally see them, so why not?

        Really sharp shot, and the eye looks amazing - never knew they were that colourful!
