The weather was not kind for any bird photograhy yesterday- heavy mist all the time. But it cleared somewhat in the afternoon for a short time. Attached are some pics of Gullemots nesting on the rock face. Taken with the Canon 70-200mm F4L + 1.4 Canon TC, which gave me a reach of approx 448mm. Not enough for bird photography. Must visit again. I must add that I did not see anyone carry a larger lens than mine down the steep slope to the cliff edge.

Did you see any Puffins. I was there a week ago and there were only two visable. There is a small colony of them there. It is the breeding time starting now so hopfully you should start to see sand eels with Puffins

Martin, I did see 2 Puffins, skimming very low over the water. Too difficult to photograph without a proper long lens. I hope to re-visit very soon. I will also check the weather forecast before I visit.
