    Graceless/graceful Heron in flight

    One of the fascinating things about watching herons is that they can go from the most gangly uncoordinated birds to second's later rather graceful, streamlined, attractive birds, without having any in-between.

        Les, superb shots. Herons are my favourite birds,as you may have noted. Also much easier to photograph than Puffins!!
