    Eagle 1

    Another shot of the Eagle. WDYT?

    Now confirmed, it is a Steppe Eagle.

    EOS 60D, 1/500 @ f/5.6, ISO 100, 70-200 f/4L + 1.4x @ 263mm

    This tawny eagle (i think) is far sharper than the first but half the shutter speed. Some good detail and cropping to the diagonal I think works although tight

        Another great shot.

        I agree with Stan that it is a tawny eagle, often called the African Snake Eagle.

              A Steppe Eagle heh?

              How do we wriggle out of this then Stan? A long diatribe recounting the similarities between the Steppe, Tawny and Golden Eagles and subsequent difficulties in differentiation between them, or do we just take it on the chin and admit we were wrong?

              What the hell, broad shoulders and all that, we were wrong.
