      Like the catch-light you captured in the eye. Also like the how you used the rule of 3rds when placing the bird in the image.

            I think a square and slightly tighter crop would be better as there is too much wood with the bird still placed on the thirds.

                  Tighter crop is much better but the colour, original and crop, dont look quite right - redish colour caste

                    BTW nice shot's. Second image looks a little over sharpened to me though.
