Re: A sitting with Blackie and Robin
...they are almost 'surreal' shots Treff !
I like them
I see from exif data that the focal length was 400mm; are they cropped at all ?

Great shots, excellent clarity, very impressive. No EXIF posted with the shots, shame that, I too would like to know what crop these were.
Nice ones, well done. Mike.flickr

Re: A sitting with Blackie and Robin
Many thanks for all the comments and for looking. All very much appreciated. I always try to look for a newish prospective when taking birds and I am still evaluating new 400mm lens which I have found excellent so far. The only draw back of course is the 5/6 aperture but in good light this lens sings and I am more than impressed. The 2 pics are crops the Robin being the biggest. The background noise comes from manipulating the background colour a tad to much to surpress a rather dire shade of something I did not like.
Just one thing which I hope someone can explain to me is, how do you transfere EXIF with pic from Flickr to this forum I keep forgetting to add it to the caption.
Again many thanks. The pics by the way were taken using a monopod which because of old age I really need. In saying that I have the ability to look back over 20 years to pics I took all that time ago and I shook just as much then as now. Something in the beer I think.
Cheers
