    Swallow on Swallow

A difficult shot for me took over well over an hour to get this image studying their behaviour and flight. They were flying around an old barn next to our hotel window. Had only two opportunities to get a perched shot in that hour.

I think that your wait was well worth it.

The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé)

That is a very difficult shot to get and your patience has been rewarded

Nice, great shot. Spending an hour or even much more waiting for the shot you really want is more than half the fun, in my opinion.

                    Fantastic shot!
Sorry I've not been around much. Sadly the ankle surgery and carpal tunnel surgery have both been unsuccessful, so have to wait and see what happens next. I hope to be shooting a lot more in the future!

                          Re: Swallow on Swallow

I can appreciate the difficulty. Last year I had dozens of swallows flying around and landing on the side of my house. Seems it was part of a ritual before they all flew off south. Tried to get a good photo and failed miserably.
