    Nuthatch

I baited a moss covered log with some peanuts and sunflower seeds, hoping the nuthatch would turn up. I wasn't disappointed...

You have done well there and a good pose and eye, background and nice perch. The blue background looks a little un natural, I would be tempted to change the hue and desaturate it and it would also look better with the peanut cloned out of his mouth

Thanks to all for the positive comments.

Stan... good constructive criticism (as always). The background is my dark green garage door, which seems to have some blue/turquoise pigment in the paint which gets picked up when the sun shines on it. It does make the subject stand out very well, but you're right, it does look a bit unnatural. Is this any better?

Both great images but the 2nd one with adjustments as per Stans comments really makes a difference. Very nice indeed.

                Re: Nuthatch

I made the comment about the background as I had assumed it was the sky and I sometimes get the odd looking colours myself. As its a garage door it is still a bit in your face so the edit and minus the peanut is much better
