    Goosander (female)

Quick snap shot taken this morning at a local 'pond' - lighting a bit harsh I'm afraid!

Edit - looks oversharp on here - doesn't in Lightroom on the iMac!

Not a regular 'pond' bird and normally way off-range for my kit when I see them; so I'm jealous of the capture!

Some super images on your website too!

Cheers Lee - 10 of these on the 'pond' (well really a decent sized lake near Welshpool) this morning. Cheers for the website comment - reminds me I need to update this in particular as have spent best part of the last month photographing Waxwings and the shots on the website currently will all be removed and replaced with something slightly better!

Great picture, we had a pair on a pond near by a couple of years ago, first and only time I've seen them.

Good colours and reflection and yes it does look a little oversharpened with some halos appearing. I always sharen on a seperate layer and particularly when re sizing for the web it enables me to mask out any halos that may appear

Yeah interesting one that Stan - even the resized web version looks fine on my machine so not sure what's going on here

Very nice, it does look a bit over sharpened here-but fine on your flickr page.

Nice and sharp can even see the droplets of water on the ducks back, smashing lighting. Seems to be OK on my iMac and iPad.

Nice image, well balanced and composed. Does look sharp but not too much and could stand a bigger crop. Strange but all my images lose a lot of sharpness when posted on this forum but not on other forums.
